Background:
Current Johnson & Wales OTD Demographics:
Ethnicity: Asian 3% Female 90% Black 14% Other 12%
Gender: Male 8% White 71% Other: 2%
Current Occupational Therapy Demographics 83.2% of occupational therapists are Female, while 16.8% are Male
Objectives:
• Increase knowledge of occupational therapy and the JWU OTD program among JWU undergrads
• Increase diversity among incoming cohorts through participation from underrepresented minority students
• Improve sense of belonging at JWU
• Help prepare students for their next step in their education
