Paul Sylvester, Ph.D., is a professor and the department chair of JWU’s Criminal Justice program. While his time here at JWU spans more than a decade, his experience in policing goes back nearly 30 years. Sylvestre has been at the forefront of conversations here at JWU, as civil unrest and calls for social justice sweep the nation - most recently speaking on a virtual forum on the trials of Kyle Rittenhouse and the three men charged with killing Ahmaud Arbery. Hear about his research on the need for a culture change in policing and in overall communication in the field – something he hopes translates in the classroom to produce future leaders.
