Abstract

Background:

• Two-thirds of adults aged 65+ express interest in sex, and over 50% report sexual activity as important to their QOL (1).

• Sexually transmitted infection (STI) among adults aged 55+ have more than doubled over the past decade (2).

• Of the 1.1 million people living with HIV (PLWH) in the US, 54% are aged 50+; this age group accounts for 16% of new HIV diagnoses (3).

• OTs are uniquely positioned to address sexual engagement for adult of all ages.

• Promoting safe, pleasurable sexual engagement among aging communities requires access to age-affirming, comprehensive sexual health education. Study
