Abstract
Social emotional development in early years of childhood is critical in the development of communication, motor, and cognitive skills to support engagement in play and academic learning. Implementing programs within schools that support positive mindsets, resilience, and well-being can lead to positive development and long-term health wellness. Evidence suggests that yoga and mindfulness-based activities could be a tool support preschool aged child. In this development further exploration of how these tools can benefit social emotional development within preschools is needed. This scoping review examines the evidence of how yoga and mindfulness-based program implementation can support social emotional development.
