THE CALECHE

What the "jaunting car" is to the people of Ireland, the "caleche" is to the people of Quebec. Designed a century or two ago with two wheels to facilitate traffic in heavily cobbled streets, it has remained to add a touch of the old world for the enjoyment of the people of the New. Under the knowing guidance of your time-honored driver you thread your way along narrow, crooked streets, past historic monuments, ancient buildings, picturesque churches, losing all thought of time as the past and the present gracefully blend together before your eyes.
